Leigh Christie
Cofounder of MistyWest
Leigh Christie is a Vancouver-based engineer/entrepreneur with degrees from UBC & MIT. He invented the machine vision robotic heat spotlight, and The Mondo Spider; a 1,500lb walking machine. In 2009 Leigh co-founded MistyWest, a leading product engineering design firm focused on novel sensors, low-power wireless & edge AI. MistyWest recently created an inference/vision edge device called MistySOM.

CEO of DEEPX
Dr. Lokwon Kim is the CEO of DEEPX. Before DEEPX, Dr. Kim spent over a decade in leading research labs and companies such as Apple, Cisco Systems, the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, and Broadcom, where he played a vital role in the design and verification of computer hardware systems used widely around the world.

As Merck’s Chief Science and Technology Officer, Lara drives innovation and digitalization across their Life Science, Healthcare, and Electronics businesses. She is also the CEO of Athinia™, a data collaboration platform that enables secure sharing of data within the semiconductor ecosystem. Laura is driven by the belief that data and digital technologies, paired with scientific innovation, are catalysts for our future.
Syed Alam (Moderator)
Managing Director, Semiconductor Global Lead at Accenture
As the Global Semiconductor Lead, Syed is responsible for Accenture’s business in the semiconductor industry that includes IDMs, foundries, fabless, equipment manufacturers and IP companies. Before joining Accenture in 2007, Syed spent 6 years in the semiconductor industry working for Motorola Semiconductor and Freescale. Syed is a member of Board of Industry Leaders at Consumer Tech Association.
