Monday signalled a turning point in the conversation on COVID-19.
New measures to fight the spread of the virus have been announced throughout the world impacting all of us. Canada has closed its borders, Washington is shutting all non-essential businesses, and our clients in the Bay Area are beginning a 3-week shelter-in-place period.
MistyWest remains committed to being a force for positive impact in the world. We will be taking all reasonable precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19. For now, this includes the following measures:
- Moving all in-person meetings to video conferences
- Remote work for all Westies until further notice
- Cancellation or postponing of all MistyWest hosted events (including our upcoming Vancouver Hardware Meetup at Microsoft)
MistyWest’s office is empty and our team is working from home as the COVID-19 crisis unfolds.
Being a good partner is MistyWest’s top priority. In light of the global situation, it is certain that some of our projects will be delayed. Our ability to be transparent with, and trusting of, all of our partners will be critical in the weeks and months to come. We commit to notifying all of our clients of any expected delays as soon as we are made aware of them. To that end, we are in the process of personally reaching out to all clients with active projects to give updated project timelines.
We are also aware that many of our clients are facing the prospect of a worsening economic situation. We encourage you to reach out to us if you are facing any challenges. We will be happy to find a solution together to make sure we all come out of this difficult time period stronger than before.
In tough times such as these, our ability to act as a community and support each other is paramount. MistyWest firmly believes that social distancing doesn’t need to equate to social isolation. We hope that you will join us in fighting COVID-19 (just be sure to stay 2 meters away).
Quarantined Regards,
MistyWest
